Since 2010 I have been delivering therapies, developing empathy and working in an intuitive way. My training began in 2006 following a personal search for solutions to help ease a persistent achy neck, back and unexplained muscle strains.

My journey for knowledge has resulted in study and practice of various alternative therapies. I prefer to view these as complementary therapies which work alongside any advice and help you pursue from your GP. I am a firm believer in clients having choice and empowerment to pursue health improvement, which often includes a variety of approaches to help mind, body and spirit. More and more I hear of people investing privately in their health care needs, as our NHS struggle with meeting demand and balancing budgets.

I am a highly qualified therapist with 17 years of experience, providing professional treatments and have accrued knowledge and practice of a wide range of treatment modalities.

Therapeutic massage is a focus in my work. Clients come to me to help with muscle strains, back ache, neck and shoulder tension, sciatica type pain and restricted range of movement. I might use advanced techniques such as Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage and Acupressure.

My style of massage gradually takes pressure deeper into tissues, without fierce intensity. A variety of massage strokes and advanced techniques are specifically tailored to you throughout your treatment. I have gradually developed palpation skills to detect areas within soft tissue that are causing disfunction and pain, which only comes from years of experience.

I am a therapist for therapists and have been described as a 'muscle whisperer'.

Reflexology is also a favourite treatment and I have seen clients become deeply relaxed, with a sense of calm and able to breathe more deeply. As an Advanced Reflexology Practitioner, I have introduced treatments specific to your health concerns whilst you continue to pursue care from your GP and consultant.

I am a Reiki Master and offer the healing energy of Reiki, where I enjoy the use of coloured Gemstones to enhance the treatment.

I am passionate about helping meet the need of time and space to process what is going on in our body, mind and spirit, along with deep relaxation which supports our body's innate ability to restore balance.

In 2012 I commenced study of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the Institute of Counselling, Glasgow, where I hold Full Membership. My article on Bereavement was recently published in their Members' Journal. I am delighted to offer counselling with a cognitive behavioural approach.
